American Guitars is a division of American Entertainment, Inc. The company started business in June of 1982 in the Seattle, Washington area. Dan DeMers, the president and founder, has played guitar for over 50 years. One of the problems he has found in the past is the flooding of the guitar market in the United States with poorly built, plywood, imported guitars. After researching many different manufacturers, he selected the company that he felt could build that quality guitar to his specifications and still keep the final cost to the consumer as low as possible. All of our guitars are shipped from our warehouse in the United States and include shipping insurance. We pride ourselves on our 27 years of “Legendary Customer Service”.
The acoustic guitars range from a beginner’s guitar, intermediate, up to a high end professional. The strat style electrics are a step above most on the market. The bodies are solid alder, the necks are maple, and the fingerboards are rosewood. The paint finish has a five step paint process to make it more durable and keep it looking good for years. There is a removable tremolo on each strat style guitar to give a different waa-waa lead guitar sound. The guitar has a rod that runs down the neck for added strength and prevents warping. The strings are fed through the back of the body to eliminate stress on the front of the guitar. They have a 2" neck for easy fingering. For younger players that is important, so they can reach all the frets and play those chords easier. The adjustable bridges make it easy for you to set up the strings for your playing style. The strat style guitars are all full sized, 4 X 4, 39” guitars with 21 frets and scale lengths of 25 1/2”. The Les Paul style guitars are reasonably priced, quality musical instruments. They are made from the finest materials and have gorgeous finishes, not found on some much more expensive lines. They all include double humbucker pickups, have scale lengths of 24 4/5” and some models have gold finished hardware. Our bass guitars are all full length 43” guitars made from solid alder with maple necks and rosewood fingerboards with a scale length of 34 1/10”. And our bass guitars are priced lower than any other dealer online or any brick and mortar location; GUARANTEED!
